THE NEW YEAR IS HERE - 2013 was full of many waves in the St. Johns County poetry pond. The Ancient City Poets were asked to judge a poetry reading last February hosted by the Betty Griffin House in St. Augustine. Carolee Bertisch and Chris Bodor judged the local competition of Poetry Out Loud at Nease High School in January. In September we started offering Plant-A-Poem monthly workshops to the community lead by Rich Cardone, Lee Paterson and Robert Waldner. These workshops created an opportunity to compensate the workshop leaders for their time and offer a little rent money to our meeting place, the Gallery Cafe of St. Augustine.
- All of these things were not even on our radar 12 months ago. It is very exciting to meditate on what unknown possibilities, challenges and opportunities the new year will bring. We are so glad that you will be along with us for the ride.
