Ancient City Poets Chris Bodor and Michael Henry Lee will be turning on the microphone at 3 pm to kick off a new poetry series. The poetry reading is free, but please show your appreciation by buying poetry books from local authors and also buying something to eat or drink while you are at the cafe. "Our kitchen will be open until 6 pm --full menu." says City Coffee owner Robyn. "We are known for our locally roasted, Fair Trade organic coffees but we also offer organic teas, fruit smoothies, blended ice drinks, and of course some sodas and juice. Our sandwiches and wraps are All made fresh and we have lighter fare like salads as well."

THE NEW YEAR IS HERE - 2013 was full of many waves in the St. Johns County poetry pond. The Ancient City Poets were asked to judge a poetry reading last February hosted by the Betty Griffin House in St. Augustine. Carolee Bertisch and Chris Bodor judged the local competition of Poetry Out Loud at Nease High School in January. In September we started offering Plant-A-Poem monthly workshops to the community lead by Rich Cardone, Lee Paterson and Robert Waldner. These workshops created an opportunity to compensate the workshop leaders for their time and offer a little rent money to our meeting place, the Gallery Cafe of St. Augustine.
News to use for the Ancient City Poets, Poet Plant Press, and Chris Bodor poetry projects.
