FLORIDA LITERARY JOURNAL ISSUE #2
The Ancient City Poets will host a community open mic reading and book release event for issue #2 of AC PAPA Literary Journal on Sunday April 24th from 3:00 to 4:30 at City Bistro Tea House and Coffee Company in St. Augustine, Florida (1280 N. Ponce de Leon Blvd, near The Village Inn). AC PAPA is an annual Florida themed literary anthology.
Issue #2 contains 98 pages of photos, fine art, and musings about the Sunshine State written by talented poets and writers from across the state and country. Saint Augustine Speaks is an open mic series that offers poets of all skill levels an opportunity to share their poems with a loving and supportive audience. The microphone will be turned on at 3:00 pm and will begin with an open mic. All are encouraged to share their own poems or works from their favorite writers. The gatherings are held "renga style" with no emcee or sign-up sheet and end when everyone has had an opportunity to share. Copies of AC PAPA #2 will be available for sale during the event. Many of the contributors will be on hand to read excerpts of their work or talk about their photos and sign copies at the end of the reading.
Issue #2 features the work of Larry Baker, Chris Bodor, Carolee Ackerson Bertisch, Danuta Blaszak, Richard Burr, Susan Calfee, Pris Campbell, Alan Catlin, Susan Chappelear, Andrea Collins-Roe, Mary Deno-Yeck, Jim Draper, Sarah Crooks Flaire, Ann Leshy-Wood Fuller, Emma Gilger, Amy Lauer Goldin, Lynn Skapyak Harlin, George Holcomb, Inez Holger, Kyra Jade, Rick Jones, Leny Kaltenekker, LeeAnn Kendall, Beverly A.
