There will be no reading in March because the last Sunday of that month falls on Easter Sunday. The Ancient City Poets will offer two in April; one on the first Sunday and one on the last. The April 3rd open mic reading will be held from 3:00 to 4:30 at City Bistro Tea House and Coffee Company (1280 N. Ponce de Leon Blvd, near The Village Inn). Saint Augustine Speaks is an open mic series that offers poets of all skill levels an opportunity to share their poems with a loving and supportive audience. The microphone will be turned on at 3:00 pm and all are encouraged to share their own poems or works from their favorite writers. There will be an open theme for this reading in celebration of April being National Poetry Month. The gatherings are held "renga style" with no emcee or sign-up sheet and end when everyone has had an opportunity to share.
