The Ancient City Poets will host a Scary Literary open mic reading on Sunday October 25, 2015 from 3:00 to 4:30 at City Coffee Company (1280 N. Ponce de Leon Blvd, near The Village Inn). Saint Augustine Speaks is a series that offers poets of all skill levels an opportunity to share their poems with a loving and supportive audience. All are encouraged to dress up as their favorite author or book character and share poems that relate to the season (Harvest and Halloween). Copies of books by local authors will be awarded for best costume. The open mic readings are held "renga style" with no emcee or sign-up sheet. The gathering ends when everyone has had an opportunity to share. This is a free event.
